What gets graded

Six categories. The ones Google actually weighs.

These are the same six areas where the costliest profile mistakes hide — and every one of them is fixable.

  • Completeness. Every empty field — services, hours, service area, attributes, description — is a reason for Google to rank someone else. I check them all.
  • Categories. Your primary category is one of the strongest local ranking signals, and it's wrong more often than you'd think. I check it against what you actually do.
  • Photos. How many, how recent, and whether they show real work. A profile whose newest photo is from the day it was set up reads as inactive.
  • Review velocity. Not just your star rating — whether reviews arrive steadily, whether you respond, and how you compare to the competitors above you.
  • Posts & activity. Google rewards profiles that stay alive: posts, Q&A answers, updated hours. I check whether yours looks worked or abandoned.
  • NAP consistency. Your name, address, and phone number should match everywhere online. Mismatches quietly erode Google's trust in your listing.

How it works

Three steps, one business day.

No login required, no access to your Google account, no software doing the judging.

STEP 01

Request your grade

Send the form with your business name and city. That's genuinely all I need to find and grade your profile.

STEP 02

I grade it by hand

I — Zach, not software — go through your profile the same way I audit paying clients' profiles, category by category.

STEP 03

Scorecard in one business day

You get a plain-language scorecard by email: your grade, each category's score, and what to fix first.

What you get

A scorecard you can act on.

  • A letter grade for your profile overall, plus a 0–100 score for each of the six categories
  • The two or three fixes that matter most, ranked by impact — not a 40-page data dump
  • Plain-language notes on each problem: what it is, why it costs you customers, how to fix it
  • A quick read on how you stack up against the competitors currently outranking you
  • Honest advice on what you can fix yourself in an afternoon versus what takes real work

Common Questions

Before you request a grade.

And if the scorecard shows problems you'd rather not fix yourself, that's exactly what my local SEO service handles.

Grade My Profile Free
Is this an automated Google Business Profile checker?
No. Automated checkers compare your profile against a generic checklist and miss context — a 'missing' attribute that doesn't apply to your industry, or a category that's technically filled in but wrong. I grade every profile by hand, which is why results take up to one business day instead of ten seconds, and why they're actually useful.
What do you need from me to run the grade?
Just your business name and city — enough for me to find your profile the way a customer would. You don't need to give me access to your Google account. If you have a website, include it so I can check your NAP consistency too.
What happens after I get my scorecard?
That's up to you. Many owners fix the quick wins themselves — the scorecard tells you exactly how. If you'd rather hand it off, my local SEO service covers profile optimization, citations, and reviews as ongoing work. There's no obligation and no follow-up pressure either way.
How is this different from the free marketing audit?
The grader looks at one thing deeply: your Google Business Profile. The free marketing audit is the full picture — profile, local rankings, website, and reviews together. If you already suspect your profile is the weak spot, start here; if you're not sure where leads are leaking, request the full audit.
Free · No Obligation

Not sure your profile is the problem?

The full free audit checks your profile, rankings, website, and reviews together — same one-business-day turnaround.
